Mobile App Testing

Job Description:

SpanIdea is looking for a skilled and experienced Mobile App Tester to join our team. As a Mobile App Tester, you will be responsible for testing both Android and iOS applications, creating automation scripts, and executing functional tests. You should have a good understanding of mobile app testing techniques, be familiar with ADB commands, and have experience with tools such as Java, JIRA, Zephyr, Test Link, and Confluence. Experience in API testing, capturing and diagnosing app logs, and writing test cases is essential for this role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with the team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing of mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Utilize knowledge of ADB commands to perform various testing tasks.
• Work with Java, JIRA, Zephyr, Test Link, and Confluence tools to manage test cases and documentation.
• Develop and execute automation scripts to ensure efficient and effective testing.
• Collaborate with the team to perform API testing.
• Capture and diagnose logs for app crashes and analyze the issues.
• Write clear and comprehensive test cases.
• Utilize bug tracking tools for efficient bug reporting.
• Conduct mobile testing using physical devices, simulators, and emulators.
• Knowledge of performance, load, and stress testing is desirable.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in mobile app testing.
• Strong understanding of mobile app testing techniques for Android and iOS applications.
• Proficiency in using ADB commands.
• Experience with Java and familiarity with tools like JIRA, Zephyr, Test Link, and Confluence.
• Ability to create and execute automation scripts.
• Knowledge of API testing.
• Familiarity with capturing and diagnosing logs for app crashes.
• Good test case writing skills and experience with bug tracking tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in mobile testing using physical devices, simulators, and emulators.
• Knowledge of performance, load, and stress testing is desirable.
